WE ARE UNREASONABLE

  • DAVID BROWN

DAVID BROWN, HOST/PRODUCER is a Philadelphia area Progressive Democratic activist on a mission to engage a broader electorate by stripping politics of sensationalism and championing the grassroots organizing model.

A campaign manager, consultant, field director, finance director, speechwriter, and former PA State Democratic Committee person, David is one of the most trusted political operatives in the nation’s electoral bellwether: Philadelphia’s Collar Counties. As Chair and co-founder of the Secular Democrats of Pennsylvania, he is a leading voice in the statewide movement for the separation of church and state. In the 2022 Midterm Election, David’s Neighbors for Democracy project–a grassroots, civic-engagement subsidiary of his PAC–facilitated higher voter turnout in his own PA House District 166 than any other district in Southeastern Pennsylvania, despite the district’s decades-long absence of a legislative campaign.

A lifelong Unitarian Universalist, David serves as Music Director at the Main Line Unitarian Church in Devon, PA, where he hopes–among other things–to dispel the myth that atheists are against organized religion.

By night, David is an acclaimed violinist, composer, conductor, concert producer, and Celtic and Klezmer fiddler. He has performed with and composed for orchestras, opera companies, and chamber ensembles across the US and Europe. David and his wife, Kaitlyn Waterson (a Democratic communications strategist and operatic soprano) live in Ardmore, PA with their two rescued racing greyhounds, Cookie and Abby.
